Dr. Darren Woodruff DPM received undergraduate degrees in Linguistics and Biology at the University of Calgary prior to a Doctorate degree from the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Arizona. Following his graduation Darren completed a three year post graduate surgical residency in forefoot and rearfoot surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. While at Ohio State he completed hundreds of surgical procedures and received extensive training in wound care. During his training he completed rotations in trauma surgery, vascular surgery, internal medicine, rheumatology, endocrinology, radiology, pathology, dermatology, infectious disease, diabetic limb salvage, plastic surgery and Emergency medicine.
Dr. Woodruff is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Alberta and Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association.
Dr. Woodruff has published papers on diabetic limb salvage and osteomyelitis. He has presented posters and presentations at conferences including the Translational to Clinical Regenerative Medicine Wound Care Conference, Diabetic Foot Global Conference, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery Annual Scientific conference and the Ohio Foot and Ankle Annual Seminar.
When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys spending time with his wife, travelling, hiking, and enjoying cultural events. He is also fluent in Thai and Laotian.
