Calgary Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Podiatrists at The Foot Institute – Calgary Beddington specialise in the surgical and medical therapy of the foot and ankle. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and actually a number of podiatry training programs lie inside these institutions. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received thorough medical education with an attention to on complications concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are qualified to manage conditions varying from typical ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are far more perplexing such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have thorough surgical training which supply them the skill needed to execute surgery on those complications that are best managed through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs receive as we walk, run or carry out other activities.
